'Nuggets From The Golden State' is a series of releases, featuring work of both single and various artists who (mostly) performed in northern California during the 1960s. The series began issuing in 1994 on the Big Beat Records label, a UK subsidiary of Ace Records Ltd., with Alec Palao as compilation consultant - music journalist, archivist and Bay Area resident.
