Feiert Jesus!
Настоящее имя: Feiert Jesus!
A series by the German label Hänssler Music. The series was founded by Lukas Di Nunzio in 1995, when Di Nunzio wanted to create a new songbook for Christian songs. To document this songbook, he made the first double-CD. After the success of this first CD, he engaged Albert Frey as a producer for a follow-up. As a performer, they developed the concept of a "Feiert Jesus!"-Ensemble consisting of an amateur choir, a studio band and couple of soloists, reforming on each new CD-release. Starting with #5, the recordings were made from live performances and were released in a yearly cycle. On CD #8, the lead and organization switches from Lukas Di Nunzio to Alexander Lucas, who is also acting as choir leader on the following releases. Starting from #10, the titles put on the CDs were casted by a voting on the corresponding web page.
The series was a success by sales and the first editions of 90.000 pieces were sold out within 2 weeks. The original release was repressed around 5-8 times without change in artwork. Series #1 to #15 were reissued on January 17th, 2011 with a slightly different artwork. Hänssler Music was first label of this series, until internal changes at the company changed it to SCM Hänssler.
Except for the regularly numbered issues there are numerous special issues, which were released during the past, as Feiert Jesus! Kids, Feiert Jesus! International, Feiert Jesus! Latino and many more. Except for the CDs, the series bears also songbooks and two monographic books.
