Regeneration Roadtrip was a multi-arts interactive journey from Canberra, ACT, to the far South Coast (29 September to 9 October 2022); a community-led arts project promoting healing through reconnecting with Country in fire impacted communities in the Queanbeyan-Palerang, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley shires (in New South Wales, Australia). The lead creative team included Louise Morris, Judith Nangala Crispin, Michael Simic, Stephen Harrison, Joan Cornish, Matt Scott, Warren Ngarrae Foster and Paul Girrawah House. The key creative team worked alongside local communities to create roadside ephemeral sculptures, artworks, stories, poetry, and music; workshops were held in Braidwood, Nelligen, Moruya, Wallaga Lake, Tathra, Quaama and Towamba (August and September 2022).
Regeneration Roadtrip was produced by Navigate Arts proudly supported by South East Arts and funded by the NSW Government via the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund Fund, and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal as part of their Strengthening Regional Communities Program. Regeneration Roadtrip was also supported by the Bega Valley Shire Council, Eurobodalla Shire Council, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, Four Winds and Sam’s Caravan.
