French Self Release Series (SF)

This series was used with many "Not on Label" releases and the date and order can be understood by "SF MMYY 123" or "SF MYY 123" where M is month and Y is year. The 123 is the numerical order in which they were released regardless of year. Sometimes these are found on other small labels where they also used this system. In the earliest releases the order is sometimes "SF M Y 123" where the Y is the year in the 1960s so "SF 3. 9. 123" is a March 1969 release. When it came to 1980 releases the month was dropped so "SF 80.299" would be the 1980 issue and the 299th record issued in this series. There also exists an example of the inversion of SF to FS. This could have been a simple error or deliberate.
