DADC, Springfield
Настоящее имя: DADC, Springfield
DADC, Springfield refers to the former Sony Disc Manufacturing plant in Springfield, Oregon operating from late 1995 until April 2003.
This plant produced CDs and CD-ROMs. Optical discs can be identified by Mastering SID Codes IFPI L336 and IFPI L337 in conjunction with Mould SID Code IFPI 5100.
DADC, Springfield matrix patterns:
[DADC code] [2-digit number]
Example matrix: CTDP-095843 01
[DADC code] DISC MAKERS or [label cat#]
Example matrix: DIDX-085522 DISC MAKERS
Example matrix: CDAC-136600 2081830
SDMX-[label cat#] [2-digit number]
Example matrix: SDMX-8241482 02
DADC code is a Sony manufacturing code containing a 4-letter prefix, hyphen and 6-digit sequential number.
2-digit number is the Springfield plant master number (01 for first, 02 for second, 03 for third, etc.).
All matrices include 11 crosshair symbols in 1+2+8 format (🝊 🝊🝊 🝊🝊🝊🝊🝊🝊🝊🝊).
Sony manufacturing code prefixes used by this plant:
CDAC (CD-ROM)
CDRM (CD-ROM)
CPDP (CD, Sony labels)
CPDX (CD, Non-Sony labels)
CPTP/CTDP (CD, Sony labels)
CTDX (CD, Non-Sony labels)
DIDC (CD classical, Sony labels)
DIDP (CD, Sony labels)
DIDX (CD, Non-Sony labels)
PSRM (CD-ROM, PlayStation)
SDMX (CD, PolyGram labels, only reissues)
Same manufacturing codes were also used by DADC (Terre Haute) and DADC, Pitman except SDMX (acronym for Sony Disc Manufacturing), which appears to be the only DADC plant prefix without sequential numbers (not eligible for LCCN entry). The Terre Haute plant used a nearly identical matrix pattern including crosshair symbols, except no leading 0 for first 9 masters. It can also be identified by different mastering SID codes.
Please do not credit DADC, Springfield solely on mould SID IFPI 5100 as that code continued to appear on releases up to 2009, several years after this plant closed.
