Keith Prowse Music Publishing Company Limited

International music publishing (holding) company legally incorporated on the 8th August 1955 in the UK. (Current status: Active (dormant) as of 2017) The roots of the company were established in 1830 by Robert William Keith (1767–1846) and William Prowse (1801–1886). In 1959 Keith Prowse Music Publishing Company Ltd. is merged with Peter Maurice Music Co. Ltd. In 1969 Keith Prowse Music Publishing Co. Ltd. and its subsidiaries (which now operated as the K.P.M. Music Publishing Group) were acquired by Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI) from the Rediffusion Group. In 1972 ultimate parent EMI Ltd. (EMI) (Formerly known as Electric & Musical Industries Ltd.) purchases Affiliated Music Publishers Ltd. (a UK based holding company established in the 50s by Robbins, Feist, Miller and the Francis, Day & Hunter Group), following this acquisition the K.P.M. Music Publishing Group is brought under the control of this newly acquired company. Affiliated Music Publishers Ltd. is renamed EMI Music Publishing Ltd. in 1974.
