The State University of New York (SUNY) is an American system of public higher education institutions, established in 1948. SUNY is one of the largest and most comprehensive systems of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the USA with a total enrollment of 465,000 students and over 80,000 faculty members on 64 campuses across the New York state. This "label" is a holding record. It should not be used as a location except when the campus is not identified. When the campus is not identified, that datum should be entered in the Notes section of the release and the submission notes.
