US soul label founded by [a2127670] in 1962 in Nashville, TN Shucher's partner, the producer Finley Duncan, purchased the label in 1965, and moved the operation to Valparaiso, Florida. Finley also founded the publishing company Chu-Fin Music, Inc. as well as Playground Studios, Valparaiso, Florida. Shelby S Singleton Jr.'s SSS International organization purchased the label in 1967. In 1968 the company's label design was updated to be 4-colored, in order to foil counterfeiters. Omnivore Recordings released a compilation 9798219 in 2013 that compiled the label's releases.
