Bear Brand

Former stocking company. The bear Brand name was produced by Howard Ford Company in Liverpool by the daughter of Howard Ford, a fashion retailer who imported stockings and subsequently built a factory to manufacture them. By the 1960s the Howard Ford Company were the biggest manufacturer of hosiery in Europe.
