Staged For Stereo
Настоящее имя: Staged For Stereo
" A dramatic concept in recorded music. designed and engineered to bring you the most vivid and spectacular stereophonic sounds obtainable on record! "
Custom stereo releases packaged in a hinged hard plastic box (much like a modern CD jewel case) to showcase the new "Stereo" LP's. These recordings feature a drastic and extreme stereo separation for Hi-Fidelity buffs who wanted a thrilling dynamic and wide "stereo" sound from their system. Each release contained an 8 page booklet with technical diagrams about each song and a short synopsis about what instruments you will hear in each channel. In November 1961 Capitol released four albums of specially recorded music prepared for the series and one additional album compiled of highlights from this series:
STAC-1635 - Van Alexander And His Orchestra - Swing! Staged For Stereo!
STAC-1636 - Henri Rose And Bobby Stevenson - Steinways! Staged For Stereo!
STAC-1637 - The Mallet Men - Percussion! Staged For Stereo!
STAC-1638 - Various Artists - Highlights! Staged For Stereo!
STAC-1639 - Norrie Paramor And His Orchestra - Strings! Staged For Stereo!
This series was later re-pressed with different titles like "Staged For Stereo" to "Staged For Sound" and released in regular (non-plastic) jackets using the "T" prefix instead of "ST".
The US patent numbers listed on the booklet inside are 2,848,106 and 2,785,797
