Punani Series

Series of compositions by Evol. In start each installment of the series has in its title the word "punani" (in Jamaican jargon, "pussy") and another, chosen more or less randomly. The pieces of the "Punani" series are generated by a program written in the Max / MSP graphic programming environment that, once executed, synthesizes the sound and composes the structure with a certain margin of freedom. It takes about a year to write the program (in Max's parlance, the "patch"), which generates all the pieces in the series, using as a base two small FM synthesizers. Each of the pieces is the result of the sum of several fragments generated by the patch, edited and in some cases slightly processed inside or outside Max / MSP. Later in the series they releases contains electroacoustic music and recordings of unprocessed acoustic sounds only.
