Wallace Institute

The Wallace Institute was founded in 1918. Run by [a3494559], it was dedicated to physical fitness and weight loss. This venture was an outgrowth of the Wallace Physical Culture Insitute. which was established in Chicago in 1899. The Wallace Reducing Records were very popular. Earliest records (ca. 1920) were recorded and pressed by Columbia, but later discs (ca. 1922 and 1931/32) were likely recorded by Marsh Laboratories and pressed by the Clark Phonograph Record Company. Wallace Reducing Records continued to be issued into the 1950s, but it is not clear which company produced them.
