Warner Music Canada Dance Disc

Canadian series of promotional compilation CD's released by Warner Music Canada and distributed only to Club & Radio DJ's. Each disc contained mainly dance music tracks (sometimes multiple versions of a song on one disc), but often contained tracks from other genres such as hip-hop, soul, pop, rock, trip-hop, reggae, among other genres. 51 releases (each labeled with a volume number) were put out between February 1991 and September 2000. The series then was resurrected in 2004 with the release of 11 more volumes, in a joint effort between Warner and Hi-Bias Records, before stopping again in late 2005. Catalog numbering changed over the years, as did the labeling and naming style. The one naming convention that remained consistent was the text "Dance Disc" somewhere on the release.
