Pye Records (New Zealand)

Pye Records (New Zealand) was set up in the late fifties by GA Wooller Ltd, with the UK company of the same name having a small shareholding. Over the next decade and a half it released a variety of licensed and local material, both directly and on a variety of subsidiary and sister labels, including Family and Allied International and, from 1965 RCA (NZ) and AIR. The parent company for all these was GA Wooller Ltd who distributed via their Allied International Ltd company. The company ceased trading in the record business in 1977.
