Equis

Artist, singer, muralist,writer, dancer,producer,performer,director,model,poet,actor from Quito-Ecuador. Equis started his music career as vocalist of Punto de Encaje, La Rapbia and 38quenojuega. He doesn't remember when he became “Equis”, but that's how he signs all his graffiti, drawings and poems. Equis is the name that gave it life on the road, Equis is a galactic snake, is someone, or an "Equis" is nobody ... Everyone who has heard about him on the street and all the people outside the world of hip hop know him by that name. One of the things he is most passionate about is being a B-boy (break dance dancer), enjoys his stunts and movements on the pavement. He is a member of a break dance group called "Los Monos Espaciales" and is also part of a group of graffiti artists called "SMKS Crew". He likes contemporary dance, perhaps because he inherited it from the talent of his father, dancer and choreographer Wilson Pico. His ability to write does not end, so in 2008 he produced his first solo EP album called [r14081358], which contains 4 different versions of a song and a video that accompanies the disc; then in 2013 he released his first solo album called [r14090200].
