Cliff Wright (7)

Cliff Wright (trombone, vocals) developed his interest in jazz during post World War II jazz revival - pre-rock and roll - influenced by big brother Rex's choice of records and clarinet playing. He enjoyed early Graeme Bell but decided 20's jazz (Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Hot Five and Seven), had more to offer, particularly after reading jazz history books ("Shining Trumpets" by Rudi Blesh).
