Léonard Gogniat

Born in Saignelégier, Switzerland on 23 September 1983, married Sophie Burande. They have two children. Léonard Gogniat began his career with a degree in primary education from the HEP and worked in the teaching field for several years. In the summer of 2007, he spent some time playing guitar in Volonne, near Marseille, where he met his future wife, Sophie Burande, herself playing accordion on the terrace of a café. The following year, the two amateur musicians began working together for six months in Paris. In 2009, they settled in Delémont and founded the musical group Carrousel (3). The duo soon enjoyed a series of remarkable successes, including a second-place finish in the final competition to represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2013. Léonard Gogniat immediately gave up his teaching career to devote himself entirely to music. As part of the group Carrousel (3), he has co-written several albums and regularly takes part in major music festivals in Switzerland and abroad.
