Roy Hill (9)

Noted negro poet, biographer, short story writer and lecturer. Roy Hill (9) was born in Laurens, South Carolina, and became an orphan when he was only two months old. His thoughts turned toward literature under the influence of the late Dr. Leslie Pinckney Hill, poet, and president of Cheyney State Teachers College, Cheyney, Pennsylvania.
