Major C. Short

American upright bass player. Born June 22, 1924 Died March 30, 2018, at the age of 93. He began violin as a child in San Francisco, California and in high school he undertook to learn all the major instruments for his career playing in service bands and jazz combos. He was in the Army Air Force for four years, then studied music at UCLA, which led him to meeting fellow redheads Robinson and Striks, leading to forming the band Somethin' Smith & The Redheads.
