Chester Gorilla is a project born out of the slums of Palermo, Sicily, in 2007. After touching various genres such as funk, jazz, hip hop, avant-garde and heavy metal, and being a staple in the city undergound music scene and sicilian concerts, the gorillas went back to their roots, the headquarters of Vasto Records where they retired to record and compose new music, spend nights in the rehearsal room and emerge as a new entity with a new found energy. Chester Gorilla is an ever-evolving, eclectic project, more akin to a creative factory than a band. A big extended crew and family who works with various members and musician, all part of our musical family.
