Chromatic Group

Chromatic Group is the most probable cream of the musicians from Cluj from the end of the beat era. The successor of the band Index 66, which resulted from the merger of the electric guitar bands Taifun and Saturn, Chromatic Group confirmed, in its existing meteorics, the value of two exceptional rock artists: Sorin Tudoran and Iuliu Merca. They, along with other good instrumentalists (Dan Igrețiu, Puiu Hațeganu or Paul Masgras), also participate in the festivals of the Bucharest Architecture Club in 1969 and 1971, the latter even winning the "Club A Trophy". The band disbanded when Sorin Tudoran, a guitarist of great refinement, was assigned after studies at Ramnicu Valcea, later linking his name (until emigration to Germany) to bands like Lotus, Mondial (5) or Roșu Și Negru.
