I Am Merloc Studios

Australian recording studio in Canberra, ACT, established and operated by Sam King (12) from September 2015 until 2019 - also appears in credits as Merloc Studios See also Sam King's home studio Blind Monkey Studios where he was based prior to (I Am) Merloc Studios. Called I Am Merloc Studios as early as December 2013 (during the two year building process): named after the bike-riding fish on the wall of Dickson Pool, Canberra, ACT. Located in Watson, at the Canberra Technology Park, in an old classroom. The fit-out consisted of three rooms; a live room 27m2, vocal booth 4.5m2 and control room 12m2. The live room and booth were both built on a floating floor to decouple them from the rest of the building.
